Hi! I’m Lisa Miller! I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). But more importantly, I am a wife, an empty nester mom, a daughter, sister, friend, and coworker! On the weekends you will find me working in the yard, reading, hiking, watching Netflix, or playing with my granddog Stormi!
In 2017, with an empty-nest looming and the encouragement from my boyfriend (now husband!), family, and friends, I went back to school to pursue my life-long passion to be a clinical counselor.
My work is dedicated to helping women of all ages create productive, satisfying lives. You may be experiencing sadness, anxiety, a rocky life transition, or a sense that somehow your life is not working out as you’d like. I’ve been in the exact same place, and it would be my privilege to work with you.
For the technical stuff–I have a master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University (2021), am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), have Level 1 EMDR training, training in ACT Therapy, and I am a Certified Workplace Mindfulness Facilitator. I am also a pharmacy professor. I received a BS Pharmacy from The Ohio State University (1994), a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kentukcy (1999), and completed a post-doctoral clinical pharmacy residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (2001). I am also a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist.
I believe that each one of us can be fulfilled in our lives and that women have the innate ability to create the life they desire. If you are ready to do the work, you will be amazed at how capable you are of creating a rich and meaningful life, living the values that are uniquely important to you. If you are ready to explore what is getting in your way and figure out what to do next, then email [email protected] to arrange a free 15-min consultation. I offer teletherapy services with evening and weekend hours to fit your busy work, family, and personal life.
